21 MILLONES DE MONEDAS SERAN CREADAS

En el caso particular de bitcoin se producirán 21 millones de monedas hasta el año 2140, sin embargo, muchas personas desconocen un fenómeno particular que se ha dado desde su creación, de hecho, todas las criptodivisas son susceptibles a este. 

Le he dado el nombre de fenómeno de perdida de monedas en ecosistema o FPME, también CLPE por sus siglas en inglés (coin loss phenomenon in ecosystem ). Este describe que dentro del ecosistema de las criptodivisas se perderán monedas por diferentes circunstancias, las cuales no estarán disponibles para su uso nunca más.

Estas perdidas se dan por varias razones como las siguientes: Personas que olvidan las contraseñas de sus monederos, formateo de computadores personales sin respaldar la billetera instalada, monederos abandonados, monederos de papel perdidos o dañados, pruebas de los usuarios y la mas reciente amenaza, software malicioso como el ransomware, entre otros.    

Realizando encuestas a dueños de bitcoin he podido calcular que en el caso de bitcoin, entre un 10 y un 15% del total de monedas creadas no estarán disponibles debido a todos los factores mencionados anteriormente, los cuales hacen parte del FPME. Esto no es necesariamente malo, si el mundo se da cuenta de este fenómeno, es muy posible que el precio del bitcoin aumente.

Debido al incremento en el interés mundial de las criptodivisas y a la llegada de nuevos sistemas y contenido educativo, es posible que el porcentaje de pérdida de monedas se reduzca, sin embargo es necesario que las personas aprendan y se capaciten de forma integral sobre el mundo de las criptodivisas y el manejo de las mismas para reducir las perdidas.

In the particular case of bitcoin 21 million coins will be created until the year 2140, however, many people are unaware of a particular phenomenon that has occurred since its inception, in fact, all crypto-currencies are susceptible to this.

I have given it the name of coin loss phenomenon in ecosystem or CLPE. It describes that within the ecosystem of crypto-currencies, coins will be lost for different circumstances, which will not be available for use anymore.

These losses occur for a number of reasons, including: People forgetting passwords of their wallets, formatting personal computers without backing the wallet, abandoned wallets, lost or damaged paper wallets, user testing and the latest threat, malicious software such as ransomware, among others.

By conducting surveys with bitcoin owners, I have been able to calculate that in the case of bitcoin, between 10 and 15% of the total coins created will not be available due to all the factors mentioned above, which are part of the FPME. This is not necessarily bad, if the world realizes this phenomenon, it is very possible that the price of bitcoin will increase.

Due to the increased global interest in crypto-currencies and the arrival of new educational systems and content, it is possible that the percentage of currency loss is reduced, but it is necessary for people to learn and train in a comprehensive way about the world of crypto-currencies and the management of the same to reduce the losses.
